The present crucifix is of the 17th century, probably Spanish in origin, and was likely once part of a precious rosary. The obverse features Christ crucified and the reverse depicts the Virgin holding the child Christ. Care is given to the feature of the cross which is textured through delicate chasing, indicating the wooden beams of the cross while crockets depicting thorns emanate therefrom.
Condition: good condition with minor rubbing commensurate with age.
