A Column with maenads

This ceramic set is in keeping with the taste for planters associated with columns, as was common in the 19th century.
World's fairs saluted the work of manufacturers such as the Frères Massier in Vallauris, who were experts in this type of work.
This is a sumptuous late 19th-century work in green glazed earthenware with oxblood red coulures. It features a decoration of maenads in relief, indicative of the eclecticism of the 19th century, which notably restored Renaissance iconography.
It should be noted that there are a few accidents and cracks.
