The Adoration of the Magi in polychrome terracotta, Italy late 17th century

Beautiful terracotta plaque with polychrome and gold decoration. The relief sculpture depicts the Adoration of the Magi. Saint Mary is seated and smiling, draped in a large blue cloak and presenting the Infant Jesus to a kneeling Magi king. The other two stand holding their gifts in their hands. In the background is a soldier on horseback.
The donkey and ox can be seen in one of the architectural arches on the right.
Beautiful polychromy.
