Naturalistically carved torso depicted frontally with a well defined bare chest and back, the slight sinuous line of the torso muscles, especially at the back, gently suggest the contrapposto movement of the hips.

The softly rendered muscles modelling and the style probably place this torso within the mid 1st century AD. The yellow-brownish surface patina further indicates the old provenance of the torso
