A jewelled gold mounted and guilloché enamel Business card case

Rectangular box or business card holder in the Louis XVI style. The hinged lid features a translucent green enamel decoration on a guilloché background, surrounded by a coral enamel frieze. A gold floral frieze in reserve frames the enamel panel. The center of the lid features a rectangular panel in translucent white enamel on a radiating guilloché background. The base is in gold amati. The interior is engraved with the initials KB and a system for storing cards or a notebook. This case was worn suspended from the waist.
