Nice bronze statue : young woman with a mandolin.
Beautiful chocolate patina.
Signed P.Mengin and marked "Susse Frères Ed" in two places.
On a rotating plinth in cherry red marble.

Inspired by the lyrical tragedy in three acts, created at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on November 17, 1866 under the direction of Théophile Tilmant, this sculture shows a strong, strong-willed, beautiful and graceful woman even in trials.
