Marble fountain project, Italian Baroque, second half of the 17th century.
This magnificent object has a base composed of three dolphins joined by a scallop shell on which rests a marble support decorated with a marquetry pattern of different qualities of alabaster. The theme of intertwined dolphins appears at the beginning of the 17th century, emblematic in this regard is the dolphin fountain of Prato, in Tuscany, work of Fernando Tacca from 1658
