Vase by Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat and Alphonse Voisin-Delacroix in enamelled stoneware, model created around 1892-1893.
Signed under the base with a pomegranate.
This vase is the result of the collaboration between Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat, famous ceramist of this end of century and Alphonse Voisin-Delacroix. Alphonse Voisin-Delacroix had his first success at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1893 with the bust of his grandfather. He settled in Bourg-la-Reine and met Dalpayrat with whom he signed an exclusive contract for his models. The two artists present about fifty pieces at the Galerie Georges Petit which are very successful.
Their brief collaboration, interrupted by the death of Alphonse Voisin-Delacroix, often borrowed from a mysterious and macabre language.
