THE ANIMAL REPRESENTATION
François-Xavier Lalanne is above all known for his bestiary and his duplicate, composite creatures. Throughout his career, he will incorporate animals into the furniture he designs. Unique furniture and representative of the decorative art such as the can of sardine sofa or the sheep used as an armchair. One of the artist's wills being to combine the beautiful with the useful and to appropriate the art because as the designer mentioned "When you can sit on a work, it becomes more familiar".
