18th century Neapolitan commode

Antique Louis XV Neapolitan commode in precious exotic woods with marble top.

The surface entirely in rare wood plays on the arrangement of the veins and on the contrast of the light and shade of the different marquetries.

The decoration is typical of the Neapolitan eighteenth century with the classic diamond pattern repeated on the two drawers and on the two sides.

The two corners are underlined by elegant wood fillets and borders arranged 'en tête'.

The two-drawer front is accentuated by a beautiful movement that is also repeated on the sides, with the typical corner shoulders of Neapolitan cabinetmakers of the time.

The two cabriolet legs are covered with bronze socks and are connected by a mixtilinear apron with an inlay in the center.
