Mahogany and gilt bronze desk, France late 19th century

French Napoleon III mahogany feather desk with finely chased gilt bronze application.

The top has a central leather surrounded by a 24 carat gold border and a mahogany feather grid.

The front is marked by nine drawers embellished with gilt bronze spouts with a foliate pattern.

On the side, there are two additional desks covered with the same leather and decorated with a 24 carat gold border.

The opposite side is different from the front, in fact it has a central panel with a large bronze medallion in the center.

The interior is made of oak wood.

Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with shellac of traditional method and craft alcohol.

Provenance: France XIXth century.
Dimensions: 150x80 H80cm.
