Gold and enamel box decorated with pearls

Tabatière in a rounded diamond shape, framing with royal blue cloisonné enamel inserts, decorated with classical, hunting and pastoral scenes, the white enamel posts decorated with urns, the finely gilded edges with friezes, the lid edged with pearls. In the center a garland of golden acanthus framing a Hellenistic woman fastening a garland of flowers to an urn. The shagreen case is lined with silk and inscribed in Cyrillic and dated 1793.
