A Japanese exceptional and rare ivory netsuke depicting Raijin ?? (or Raiden) the god of thunder, who decorates the drum with a brush, with which he produced the rumble of thunder, with the mitsudomoe with three spirals following one another inside a circle .
The drum is inlaid with small black horn balls.
The netsuke is of excellent quality and generously sized. Note the facial expression, the curly hair, the musculature and the brush that rests on the drum, all naturally obtained from the same block.
