This vase is a wonderful example of the successful combination of form and decoration for which the works of Franz Hofstötter are famous. The shape of the vase, which widens towards the top, sets off the dripping colors in a spectacular way.
The drops flowing downward taper equal to the body of the vase, accentuating both the shape and decoration of this exciting object. The vertical rows of dots give the glass an additional dynamic and complement its overall harmonious appearance.
