A Louis XVI commode, stamped Feurstein

In mahogany and mahogany veneer opening with three drawers, it rests on four tapered legs ending with gilt bronze sabots, rounded uprights with flutes.
Entrances of locks with ribbon knot and pearl row, ormolu rings.

Joseph Feurstein (1733 - 1809) received Master on April 29, 1767
This Bavarian cabinetmaker, originally from Tyrol, established himself on rue Saint-Antoine, his activity will end at the beginning of the Revolution. He produced furniture from Louis XV to Louis XVI, of well studied forms and careful manufacture in veneer, marquetry or mahogany.
