Offered by Isabelle Chalvignac
Pair of rosewood, sycamore and tulipwood corner cabinets on a tobacco background. They open with a richly inlaid leaf: a green tinted ribbon forms a rectangular frame with double Greek corners on which hangs a medallion monogrammed R B; below a bouquet of flowers with gathered corollas and three stems tied with a knotted ribbon, loosely interlaced.
The uprights are adorned with simulated flutes, small short legs set back from the bottom rail.
Beautiful chased and gilded bronzes: falls, keyholes, sabots, lamp bases. White marbles with cavet.
Transitional period Louis XV Louis XVI - Paris.
Stamped by Jean Baptiste Hedouin Master 22 May 1738, died in 1783.
