Margaret E. Foley (1827–1877) was an American sculptor who worked in a Neoclassical style. In addition to sculpture, she is known for cameo carving, medallion portraits, and direct carving.
Her first studio was on the ground floor of 55, Via Sistina a classic portion of Rome , Thorwaldsen's residence was next door .
Margaret Foley was really successful with her medaillons and by 1872 she owned her own home and had addition two studios in Rome , one for sculpting and another for exhibition .
