Origin: exceptional and very rare Tabriz - Haji Jalili (pronounced hadji Ali Li) in silk. Dated, signed and numbered. Hegira date 1220 Age: around 1870 Dimensions: 175x129 cm Density: around 10,000 to 11,000 knots per dm2 Technical characteristics: velvet, warps, weft and fringes in natural silk. Observations: rare museum quality carpet. Made in the workshops of the famous master weaver of the Shah, Haji Jalili at the end of the 19th century. The particularity of this rare specimen is the date of the Hegira, very old 1220. State of conservation quite correct for the age, some oxidation and slight natural wear. The Tabriz - Haji Jalili silk master Haji Jalili have very good results on the international market and especially the beige. Great finesse and remarkable quality of silk. Description: carpet in the form of a prayer, on an ivory field with Mirhab and a stylized suspended oil lamp, double columns in the shape of thin rolls of paper. Flowerbed of intricately drawn ruby flower seedlings. Double spandrels and headband inlaid with fine branches and tree roots crenellated in the shape of diamonds. Five borders including the main old gold and ruby seedlings of geometrically stylized turtle shells surrounded by palmettes of multicolored flowers.
