Gueridon tripod in gilt bronze, France, 19th century, Empire style
Measures: cm H 112,5 x diameter 49,5 (base diameter cm 60)
The gueridon was made in France in gilt bronze in the nineteenth century according to the models of the empire style and classicism. Above it has a circular basin decorated with leonine head with a ring between the jaws. The structure is a tripod and the arched legs join on a tripartite base resting on footrests.
Very decorative and versatile it can be placed in indoor spaces or outside under porches or indoor areas, used as a planter.
If you want you can exhibit it with a plan, like the one we propose in the picture, in different marbles of the eighteenth century, in order to use it as a gueridon, or as a support for sculptures or other decorative objects.
