Pair of peacock candlesticks forming perfume burners in chased, patinated and gilded bronze from the Empire period.
Original gilded bronze with mercury and patina, finely chased.
The vases of Medici form present a peacock on both sides, the body is underlined in its lower part of stylized palmettes resting on a flared pedestal, cushioned by a square base with brown patina and floral decoration.
They are covered with a pine cone at the top, revealing a candlestick.
The quality of the gilding treated in mat and gloss, as well as a precise and removed chasing make of this pair of candlesticks a perfect example of the best productions of the Empire, probably by a prestigious workshop of reputation.
