This lovely necklace is made of silver and vermeil, it consists of links in vermeil, supporting a garnet cut in diamond, alternated with silver links, each element holds a silver pearl, they are linked together by a small daisy.
It should be noted a slight wear of the gilding.
It bears on the clasp a jeweler's hallmark with the initials G.A.S. for Scheid Georg Adam in Vienna, he worked from 1858 in the workshop of his father-in-law Michael Markowitsh, they founded in 1862 the OHG Markowitsch and Sheid, 20 years later he left the company and founded in 1882 his own factory which he managed until 1911 when he retired. The hallmark shows a dog's head looking to the right for the silver at 800/1000 in Austria-Hungary, in force from 1866 to 1922.
