Important salon furniture from the Louis XVI period comprising six basket-handle flat-back armchairs on fluted and grooved tapered legs in cream lacquered beechwood reupholstered in gold and upholstered with Aubusson tapestries illustrating Les Fables de La Fontaine and the series of child gardeners after models by Jean-Baptiste Oudry and Jean-Baptiste Huet.

Good condition of the shafts. Wear to the upholstery (tears on some of the armrests).
Former provenance: Arcole Paris sale of December 11, 1989, then collection from Rennes.
